Scholarship Details

The MLK Health Careers Scholarship awards $1,500 to two North Brunswick High School seniors interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Scholarship funds may be used for room & board, tuition and fees, and books and supplies. The grant will be paid to the college of the recipient's choice upon receipt of an invoice from the college.

Who should apply?

Any senior who has attended NBHS for at least two years and is interested in a career in healthcare is encouraged to apply! This includes students pursuing careers in:

Medicine
Nursing
Physical therapy
Occupational therapy
Speech therapy
Pharmacy
Dentistry
Dental hygiene
Nutrition
Radiology tech
Public Health
Other healthcare fields

We will prioritize applicants from low-income and minority families, and those who will be first-generation college students.

Students who are planning to attend Brunswick Community College (BCC) and are eligible for the Brunswick Guarantee will not be considered for this scholarship. For more information on BCC, please see their website.

If selected, we will request to use your name and/or photograph in marketing materials and announcements to the community.

Our simple online application includes basic demographic and academic information, as well as an opportunity for you to share your personal goals and experiences through a short essay.
